About the role
First Circle is hiring a Senior IT Administrator, to play a critical role in ensuring the IT infrastructure at First Circle supports the company's goals and user needs. They will be the primary person responsible for delivering security and usability - installing, configuring, and maintaining hardware and software, managing network servers and security policies, and ensuring all software and systems and are up-to-date and operating smoothly.
The challenges of the role continuously evolve. In the past 6 months alone, First Circle has delivered a new Salary Loans products for SME staff, moved to new larger office space, switched all of our staff to MacBooks, and consolidated large parts of our SAAS stack. A great IT Administrator plays a leading role in enabling all of those things to happen, helping to drive decision making as well as supporting the daily functions of our varied teams.
We are looking for somebody who loves to make things happen, and takes deep pride in the importance of the work they do.
Responsibilities:
- Network access & performance
- Manage all wifi access, network equipment, and performance of system in partnership with 3rd party network providers
- Hardware selection
- Define hardware specs for each role in the company, and configuration settings
- Ensure hardware aligns with security protocol
- Hardware procurement, disposal, inventory management
- Optimise expenditure on hardware in partnership with finance
- Manage existing hardware, including formatting, tracking, allocating, recovering, and stock planning
- Deliver employee training on high standards of care and improving skills
- Software access & security
- Setting protocol and supporting staff with accessing laptops & software, including 2FA, SAAS activations, integrations.
- Establishing and running recovery procedures for historical content of former staff
- Network / office Access
- Oversee physical access and security procedures to office, including biometrics system
- Enrolling laptops and phones to company wifi
- Member lists & access
- Create and manage protocol for staff accessing member lists on core company software
- Manage licenses for all SAAS subscriptions across staff
Characteristics of a great candidate
- At least 3 years experience in IT Admin / Support / Security or relevant role. Essential.
- Some experience working for an SME sized business with high levels of responsibility. Preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, or a related field. Preferred, not essential.
- Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
